Announcing NILA: Shifting Inclusive Education from Theory to Practice in Mainstream Schools

The DADE Initiative is proud to officially introduce the National Inclusive Learning Accelerator (NILA), a strategic initiative designed to transform mainstream classrooms into spaces where every child, including learners with disabilities, can thrive, participate, and succeed.

In many education systems, special schools are often seen as the primary option for children with disabilities. While these specialized institutions play a vital role, relying on them exclusively can limit access, increase social separation, and place an immense financial or geographical burden on families.

As a result, far too many brilliant young minds remain excluded from formal education or stay at home, not because they lack the ability to learn, but because mainstream schools often lack the training, systems, and specialized capacity to support them.

NILA is here to bridge that gap.

How NILA Works
Instead of separating learners, NILA equips mainstream schools with the practical knowledge and resources required to implement true inclusive education. The programme focuses on strengthening educators' core competencies in:

Institutional Accessibility & Inclusion: Creating school environments that welcome all learners.

Differentiated Instruction: Adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning speeds and needs.

Active Learner Engagement: Fostering classroom practices where no child feels invisible or left behind.

Participants who successfully complete the rigorous accelerator will receive an official Certificate of Completion, recognizing their professional commitment to driving inclusive education development.

MOVING BEYOND THEORY
Our ultimate goal with NILA is to build an education system where true inclusion isn't dependent on the type of school a child attends. Instead, we want inclusion embedded in every classroom, practiced by every teacher, and felt by every learner.
With 8 structured training modules already developed and our Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions officially underway this month, the DADE Initiative team is moving rapidly toward full field implementation.
